In force since

Editorial principles

Legado Inmobiliaria is an estate agency that also publishes data about its own market. Saying both things at once, in writing, is the only thing that gives the second one any value.

What we publish

  • Regular reports on the housing market in Spain, the Valencian Region and the province of Alicante, reworked from official statistics published by the Spanish Land Registrars and the Notarial Council.
  • Our own price observatory for new-build homes on the Costa Blanca, built from our catalogue: entry price, €/m² and sales pace, municipality by municipality.
  • Press releases announcing each edition of those reports and summarising their findings.
  • Guides and articles on the Spanish buying process for non-resident foreign buyers: NIE, taxation, financing and paperwork.

Sources and verification

Every figure we publish comes from a cited, linked source or from our own catalogue. When the data is ours we say so: we state how many developments or transactions it rests on and what the sample leaves out.

We do not publish a number we cannot trace back to its origin. If an official series changes methodology, we flag it in the report rather than chaining together years that are not comparable. If a figure is an estimate, it says so.

Independence and conflict of interest

We are an interested party and we do not pretend otherwise: we sell new-build homes in the same area we publish data about. That is why we keep data and commercial opinion clearly apart, and why every report is published with its methodology in plain sight, so anyone can redo the calculation.

No developer, bank or advertiser pays to appear in our reports, reviews a text before publication, or has any right to veto a conclusion. When a report mentions a development we market, the text says so.

On new-build pricing we hold to a rule that limits us: the price is set by the developer, and we do not promise price advantages that are not ours to give.

Bylines, dates and corrections

Every report and every press release carries a named author, a publication date and a last-updated date, all visible on the page. If the text changes after publication, the update date changes with it.

Errors are corrected under our corrections policy, which sets response times and keeps a record of every change.

What we do not do

  • We do not publish sponsored content or advertorials dressed up as journalism. If we ever did, it would be labelled as such on the piece itself.
  • We do not use anonymous sources in our reports: data is either public and verifiable, or ours — in which case we explain how it was obtained.
  • We do not promise yields, future price growth or price advantages. We publish what has happened, not what would suit us.
  • We do not sell or share the personal data of anyone who writes to us, beyond the providers listed in our privacy policy. The press contact is exactly that.

Languages

The newsroom is published in Spanish, English, German, French, Dutch and Polish. The Spanish version is the reference original: where translations disagree, the Spanish text governs and we correct the rest.

Editorial contact

To report an error, request a correction or ask for more detail on any figure, write straight to the editor. We always reply — including when the answer is that the figure was right.
