Corrections policy

We publish numbers, and numbers get things wrong. When one of ours is wrong we fix it, we say so on the page itself, and we leave a written record of what changed and when.

What we correct

This policy covers everything we publish with a byline and a date: market reports, press releases, blog articles and buyer guides. We correct four kinds of error.

  • Factual error: a wrong figure, percentage, date, municipality or name.
  • Sourcing error: a statistic wrongly attributed, a period wrongly cited, or a link that does not lead to the original document.
  • Context error: a comparison between periods, areas or data series that are not actually comparable.
  • Translation error: a version in another language that says something different from the Spanish original.

How to report an error

Write to pedro@legadoinmobiliaria.es with the page link, the specific figure you believe is wrong and, if you have it, the source that contradicts it. Nothing else is needed: no form, no account, no explanation of who you are.

We acknowledge receipt within 24 working hours. We always answer, including when our conclusion is that the figure was correct — in which case we explain where it comes from and why it stands.

How we make the correction

  • Serious error — a figure that changes the conclusion, or a fact about an identifiable person or company: corrected as soon as it is verified, and the text carries a correction note at the foot giving the date and what changed.
  • Minor error — typos, formatting, a broken link: corrected without a note, but the page’s visible update date changes.
  • A figure that becomes outdated because the source revised its own series: that is not our error. We update the number and state that the source revised it.
  • If the error was published in several languages, it is corrected in all of them at once. We never leave a translated version saying something we already know is false.

What we never delete

A published text does not disappear. We do not pull articles or press releases to cover up a mistake: they are corrected and the correction note stays. Nor do we quietly change a conclusion.

We only unpublish a page when there is a legal obligation — data protection, third-party rights, a request from the source — and even then the address keeps answering with an explanation instead of vanishing without trace.

Who is accountable

One person is accountable for everything published here: Pedro Torres Martínez, editor of Legado Inmobiliaria and estate agent registered with the RAICV under number 6440. There is no committee and no anonymous inbox: there is a name and an email address.
